Firewood for the winter

Best practices for storing firewood

Safeguarding your firewood is of the utmost importance. Follow these tips to keep your firewood in great condition.

Store firewood in a covered location whenever possible. If a covered location isn’t available, use a tarp or canopy to keep your wood dry.

Do not stack firewood directly against the side of a building. Instead, leave a few inches of space in between to allow for good airflow.

Firewood should never be stored near your home. Doing so can attract termites, spiders, and other insects.
